One dusty g.o.h!

Dusty g.o.h!

This blog is about my efforts to improve the specification of the my old(ish) stone house, both in terms of facilities and reducing its environmental impact. This includes insulation of course (no cavity walls), plumbing, decoration, rainwater/ drainage, etc. I am trying to be both sympathetic to its original construction (lime mortar etc) whilst getting the benefit of modern techniques where possible – it’s sometimes not easy to do both!

Over the last couple of years I seem to have come across various bits of useful information and this blog is partly for me to document them, and partly to help others with similar issues. With any luck a few people may be able to guide me where I’m going wrong too!

By the way: the picture on the header is not my house(!) but gives an idea of the style and materials used.
